Hinsdale Central Wins Girl's State Lacrosse Championship

Congratulations to Hinsdale Central's Girls Lacrosse team on winning the 2007 State Championship. Hinsdale Central (21-5) came from behind to defeat Loyola (22-5) 13-12 in front of a crowd of 1,250 lacrosse fans at Benedictine University.

Trailing 9-7 late in the game, the Red Devils rallied to tie the game, but the Ramblers matched the Red Devils score for score. The Red Devils finally took the lead 12-11 with four minutes remaining.

Loyola forced a turnover and scored to tie the game 12-12 with over a minute to play.  With 16 seconds left, Hinsdale scored, and then hung on through two penalty shots to make the final 13-12.
